Coaching is a powerful tool and it’s what we do. We’d like to think we offer some real practical expertise and experience in this area.
We have many examples in the Case Studies section to prove that it works, and its effects are not always as expected. We are dealing with people and the results are sometimes unpredictable and surprising. In almost every situation we know that, given a few provisos we can have a quite profound impact.
Our main purpose is to unlock the potential of individuals working in organisations.
Our coachees are typically leaders, managers or professionals within an organisation.
They could be:
- People making the transition from professional to manager of professionals
- People in ‘first time’ leadership roles
- People preparing for, or taking on a promotion
- Middle career people looking for a change
- High potential people looking to achieve more
- Senior managers wanting to improve specific skills
- Leaders needing an independent ‘sounding board’
Coaching can also be the answer when a need emerges (via the annual appraisal process for instance), which does not neatly fit under any one of an organisation’s existing range of training and development options. Our Coachees see it as a compliment to their abilities that their management are prepared to invest in them by offering coaching to hone their existing skills and talents even further.
We have recently been supporting people through ‘transition’ caused by the recession – which could be restructuring of their role, or facing redundancy through to finding a new approach to their current career, finding and securing a new job, finding new career direction and even starting their own business – and mentoring them through that complex process.
